Through the International Cooperation programme, we foster Polish-Ukrainian dialogue among experts and citizens and deepen understanding of Poland in Ukraine, of Ukraine in Poland, and of Ukraine within the European Union. Together with the Kyiv-based International Renaissance Foundation, we organize regular meetings of politicians, experts, and civil society representatives: the Poland-Ukraine Forum and other events.
Since the start of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, we have stood in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and have worked to foster European solidarity with their struggle for freedom. We give a voice to the people of Ukraine in the “Ukraina mówi (Ukraine Speaks)” debate series, organized jointly with the weekly magazine “Polityka”. Together with the TOK FM Foundation, we produce the podcast series “Rozumieć Ukrainę (Understanding Ukraine)”. We also publish analyses and commentaries on the Ukrainian state, its place in the world and in Europe after the war, and appropriate forms of support for those Ukrainian citizens who have found refuge in Poland.
Together with our partners from expert and civil society circles, we analyze the political and social situation in Europe and around the world, and we work to increase the influence of civil society and social organizations on European Union policy and its democratization by participating in processes that shape the future of the European space. Together with the Warsaw office of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), we are organizing a series of expert seminars titled “Strategic Forum: Poland in Europe”.
We manage the secretariat of the Open Society European Network, which includes 12 countries: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, and Ukraine.
