Seminar Social Problems and Civil Society in Central Asia

On Tuesday, May 27, 2008 we organize a seminar Social Problems and Civil Society in Central Asia which will be held 10.00-16.00 at Jerzy Turowicz Room at the Batory Foundation premises, in Warsaw Sapieżyńska 10A.

The aim of the seminar is to discuss key social problems in Central Asia, especially socio-economic developments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The seminar will be attended by experts from Central Asia, Polish officials in charge of contacts with this region and official responsible for the development cooperation programs, by NGO representatives, and researchers from Poland and other Central European countries.

The working languages of the seminar are English and Russian (simultaneous translation shall be provided).
