Fundacja im. Stefana Batorego

The Fund was established in 2008 by friends and family of a tragically deceased lawyer, Iwona Winiarska-Feleszko with an aim to help young people from small towns and low-income families who enroll at Warsaw-based state universities. It is supported by donations from individuals and 1% personal income tax designations.

 

The Fund offers one year scholarships for 1st year students in the amount of PLN 500 as well as assistance with settling in Warsaw ( finding an apartment, a traineeship, part-time work, etc). The candidates for scholarships are selected from among nominees recommended by organizations participating in Equal Opportunities program.

 

Since 2008, the Jury of the Fund has awarded 15 scholarships totaling PLN 60,600.
